Frequently asked questions

Which welding processes does Ledeco look for?
Most often MAG (135/138) in steel and tank construction, TIG (141) for stainless steel and piping, and MIG (131) for aluminium. Plus MMA (111) for assembly and maintenance. If you master several processes, you get the widest choice of assignments.
What will I earn as a welder at Ledeco?
Currently €24.00 to €28.30 per hour, depending on process, certificates and location. On top come shift and night bonuses, holiday and Christmas pay, plus travel and meal allowances.
Do I need a valid welder certificate?
For many assignments yes – a qualification to DIN EN ISO 9606-1 is the standard. If yours has expired or you have none, we pay for the test. Get in touch anyway.
How good does my German have to be?
Basic A2-level German is enough for most assignments – you need to understand safety briefings and drawings. We arrange a job-related German course and subsidise it.
I am from Poland / Czechia / Romania. Do I need a work permit?
No. As an EU citizen you may work in Germany without a permit. You need an ID card or passport, a registered address, a tax ID and German health insurance. We help with all of it.
I have a Ukrainian residence permit. Can I apply?
Yes. With a residence permit under § 24 AufenthG marked "Erwerbstätigkeit erlaubt" you can start immediately. We check your documents together with you.
Do you organise accommodation?
Yes. We arrange a furnished flat or room near your work site – before you travel. For site assignments we cover accommodation and travel in full.
What exactly is Arbeitnehmerüberlassung (temporary agency work)?
You are permanently employed by Ledeco and work at an industrial client. Your salary comes from us – including between assignments. In over 2,300 cases this has turned into a permanent job with the client.
How fast can I start?
With valid certificates, often within one to two weeks. We call back within 24 hours on working days.
Where would I work – only in Augsburg?
Our office is in Augsburg, our assignments are nationwide: Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond. Tell us where you want to work.
